Inger Steventon Yancey

Inger Steventon Yancey, 53, of Shenandoah, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024. 

She was born on October 1, 1970, in Beaufort, SC, and was a daughter of Richard Steventon and Beth Olson Steventon of New Market.

Inger worked as a nurse for Middle River Regional Jail.

Surviving in addition to her parents are two sons, Jason Loyd (wife Carrie Loyd) and Tommy "Lee" Yancey II, both of Elkton; three daughters, Sarah Fitzwater (husband Conrad Fitzwater) of Bridgewater, and Erika Yancey and Bethany Yancey, both of Shenandoah; a sister, Anne Halterman of New Market; and eight grandchildren, Luke Loyd, Sawyer Loyd, Braelyn Loyd and Aleah Loyd, all of Elkton, and Conrad Fitzwater Jr., Hailynn Fitzwater, Schyler Fitzwater and Star Fitzwater, all of Bridgewater.

A funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the Elkton Pentecostal Church by Pastor Eddie Byers, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 5-6 p.m.
