Obituary

Howard Lynwood Beahm, 89, of Luray, Va., passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab in Luray.

He was born on August 1, 1933, in Tacoma Park, Md., and was a son of the late Joseph Turner Beahm and Laura Catherine Young Beahm.

Howard was a 1952 graduate of Luray High School and attended George Washington University and the Metropolitan School of Interior Design. He worked for Kimel Furniture in Falls Church for 10 years and also owned and operated Howard Beahm Associates. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Trinity Church in Rileyville. 

Having traveled to 38 countries, Howard had friends from all over the world and spoke often of his adventures.

He is survived by a niece, Martha Jones and husband Theo of Universal City, Texas; his nephews, the Rev. Ray Beahm and wife Rebecca of Oakland, Md., Clyde Beahm of Humble, Texas, and Fred Beahm of Morra Bay, Calif.; as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his dear friend, Doris Robbins Smith of Front Royal, Va.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Barbara Jenkins, Brenda K. Aleshire, Evelyn Seal and Margaret Hill; a brother, Arthur W. Beahm; his stepfather, Thomas Lyndon Judd; and a nephew, Norman Beahm.

He is gone, but will never be forgotten.

As per Howard's wishes, no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
