Horst Friedrich Karl Dubberstein

Horst Friedrich Karl Dubberstein, 89, of Luray, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.

He was born on September 2, 1935, in Germany and was a son of the late Bruno Dubberstein and Elizabeth Gotze Dubberstein.

His first wife, Waltraud Dubberstein, preceded him in death.

On April 13, 2013, Horst married Eileen Lehnberg Dubberstein, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Michael Dubberstein and Peter Dubberstein, both of Germany; a daughter, Eileen Scheer of Germany; and three grandchildren, Gina, Rico and Dario. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lothar Dubberstein.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, at the Stanley Seventh-day Adventist Church by Pastor Robert Banks. Burial will be in the Stanley Advent Cemetery.
