Harry David Cookus, 80, of Luray, died on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021.

Mr. Cookus was born on Aug. 23, 1940, in Baltimore, Md., and was a son of the late Harry Cookus and Violatta Dunigan Cookus.

He is survived by four daughters, Darlene Fishback and Diane Cookus, both of Luray, and Linda Davis and Kim Steadman, both of Maryland; four sons, David Cookus of Maryland, Jimmy Strickland of North Carolina, and Michael and Daryl Cookus, both of Basye; and a brother, George Cookus of...

He is survived by four daughters, Darlene Fishback and Diane Cookus, both of Luray, and Linda Davis and Kim Steadman, both of Maryland; four sons, David Cookus of Maryland, Jimmy Strickland of North Carolina, and Michael and Daryl Cookus, both of Basye; and a brother, George Cookus of Georgia. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert, William, Lloyd, Albert and Kenneth Cookus.
