Harold L. "Pottie" Stoneberger Sr.

Harold Leon "Pottie" Stoneberger Sr., 74, of Stanley, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

He was born on February 1, 1950, in Stanley and was a son of the late Isaac Tazwell Stoneberger and Hazel Frances Lucas Stoneberger.

Harold worked as a self-employed concrete finisher.

On September 17, 1972, he married Deloras Renerva Virginia Tharp Stoneberger, who died on May 24, 2006.

Harold is survived by a son, Harold L. Stoneberger Jr. of Stanley; a daughter, Angela M. Griffith and husband Steve of Luray; four grandchildren, Tyler Stoneberger and companion Paige St. Clair, Deserae Griffith, and Cody Griffith and companion Brianna Stroupe, all of Luray, and Austin Stoneberger of Stanley; one great-grandson, Everson Stoneberger; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Alger; three brothers, Joseph Isaac Stoneberger, Michael T. Stoneberger and Teddy Franklin Stoneberger; and four sisters, Myra Susan Stoneberger, Barbara F. Alger, Judy Campbell and Sarah Frances Comer.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Jeff Lucas, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
