Glenda Deloris (Owens) Cubbage

Glenda Deloris Cubbage, 84, of Stanley, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

She was born on January 12, 1941, in Munford, TN, and was a daughter of the late James Owens and Agnes Laxton Owens.

Glenda was a member of the Calvary Independent Brethren Church in Stanley.

On October 10, 1958, she married David Sherman Cubbage, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Glenda is survived by a daughter, Tammy Williams and husband Seldon Jr. of Stanley; two sons, Danny Cubbage and wife Elaine, and Rebon Sherman Cubbage and companion Debbie Dove, all of Stanley; eight grandchildren, Ryan Cubbage, Aaron Williams, Chad Cubbage, Chase Cubbage, Brittany Cubbage, Dannyela Cubbage, Brianna Cubbage and Brannon Delima; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, James Jr., Russell, Milton "M.B.," Richard and Phil Owens; and two sisters, Helen Stringfellow and Ruby Ivy.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, at the Riverview Independent Gospel Church in Stanley by Pastor Jeff Lucas.
