Gerald Francis "Jerry" Gregory, 84, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on October 20, 1940, in Bridgeport, CT, and was a son of the late George Visnosky and Frances Brown Visnosky.
Jerry retired from the Virginia State Police as a senior special agent and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Kiwanis, the American Legion Post 22, the Page Valley Fair Association and the Virginia State Police Association.
On April 27, 1968, Jerry married Alanda Egather Howery Gregory, who died on July 16, 2024.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Gregory and Cindy Sours, both of Luray; a son, Aaron Gregory of Luray; a sister, Carol Chadwick of Oxford, CT; and seven grandchildren, Jerry Lee Gregory, Jacob Sours, Travis Sours, Brantley Gregory, Hattie Gregory, Ella May Gregory and Brayden Kling, all of Luray. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Gregory; and a sister, Mary Ann Visnosky.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Friday, January 17, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Robert Griffith, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 3-4 p.m.
A Memorial Service at Culpeper National Cemetery 3pm April 27 by Pastor Robert Griffith with Military Honors.
