George Edward “Freddie” Sedwick, 89, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, at Page Memorial Hospital.
He was born on May 10, 1931, in Luray and was a son of the late Robert Madison Sedwick Sr. and Melvina Krug Sedwick.
Freddie was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for Sears and Roebuck for 37 years as a salesman and was a member of the Fletchers Chapel Community Church.
On Aug. 26, 1955, he married Juanita Jobe Sedwick, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Sharon Lamb and husband Phillip, and Sandra Davis and husband Jay, all of Luray; a brother, Raymond Sedwick of Woodstock; two grandsons, Jonathan Lamb of Bridgewater, and Christian Davis of Alexandria; and a granddaughter, Shelby Davis of Kalamazoo, Mich. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester “Bud,” Thomas and Robert Madison Sedwick Jr.
Services are planned for a later date.
