George Richard Weddleton, Jr.

George Richard Weddleton Jr., 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

He was born on Dec. 8, 1941, in San Francisco, Calif., and was a son of the late George Richard Weddleton Sr. and Metta Belle Cantwell Weddleton.

George owned and operated the Parkhurst for 42 years.

On Jan. 11, 1964, he married Juanita Villanueva “Nita” Weddleton, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Marc Richard Weddleton and wife Michelle of Mooringsport, La.; two daughters, Wendy Joy Weddleton of Glendale, Ariz., and Jilena Franklin and husband R.L. of Elkton; a niece, Amber Joy Jaxon of Fayetteville, W.Va.; a brother-in-law, Bob Hambrick and wife Elizabeth of Wimberley, Texas; a sister-in-law, Janie Villanueva of Fresno, Calif.; and eight grandchildren, Monte Greer, Miranda Weddleton, Emily Weddleton, Christian Weddleton, Kailee Franklin, Kenzie Franklin, Addie Franklin and Ryah Franklin. George is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Sister Metta Whitcomb.
