Freeman "Salty" Ernest Cubbage, Jr.

Freeman Ernest "Salty" Cubbage Jr., 76, of Stanley, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1944, in Page County and was a son of the late Freeman Ernest Cubbage and Lucille Campbell Cubbage.
On Feb. 17, 1965, he married Juanita Florence Alger Cubbage, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Penny Griffith and husband Greg of Luray;  and three sisters, Dianne Lowe of Stanley, Louise Mongold of Harrisonburg and Elaine Comer of Shenandoah, VA. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Junior Cubbage; a brother, Journey Cubbage; and a sister, Maxine Cubbage.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the Leake's Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
