Francine Louise Dinges Cubbage

Francine Louise Dinges Cubbage, 81, a resident of Stanley, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, in the comfort of her home.

Ms. Cubbage was born on May 20, 1944, in Washington, D.C., and was the daughter of the late Francis Xavier Boody and Pauline Annella Boody. 

She spent her entire life showing her family and friends the love of God. She was a devoted Memaw and Christian. She was a life-long member of the Luray Church of Christ. She retired from Pilgrim’s Pride.

On April 3, 1963, she married Dean “Buddy” Dinges, who preceded her in death. 

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Annette Dinges of Stanley; three grandchildren, Christopher Lee Dinges of Stanley, Rebekah Renae Comer Higgs and husband Steven Craig Higgs of Wiesbaden, Germany, and David Todd Comer and fiancée Destiny Renee Sours of Stanley; seven great-grandchildren, Colton Matthew Dinges, Kylie Sahara Dinges, Dawson Lee Comer, Story Leigh Dinges, Ryleigh Renae Higgs, Sagan Layne Dinges, and Remy Ryan Higgs; and a brother, Craig Boody. 

She is also survived by her special friend and neighbor, Geraldine Hollis. They shared many walks and talks together. 

The family will be receiving visitors from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Luray Church of Christ. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with fellowship and refreshments to follow. Funeral speaker will be Charlie Roach, with Mike Robbins as guest speaker. The family will have a private graveside burial after. 

Pallbearers will be Christopher Dinges, David Comer, Steven Higgs, Mike Robbins, Layton Addison, and Allen Barnes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Luray Church of Christ.
