Frances Anne Thompson, 79, of Shenandoah, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab in Luray.
She was born on March 10, 1946, in Virginia and was a daughter of the late James Ruffen Knott and Nina Doss Knott.
Frances was a member of the Shenandoah Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, James Thompson and companion Bobbi Jo Cloude of Shenandoah, and Rosalei Cook and husband Bow of Luray; a sister, Phyllis Harris of Martinsville; and five grandchildren, Elijah Caton, Gabe Caton, Jacob Reese Shifflett, Haley Goldsmith and Carter Lee Thompson. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Ensley and Judy Knott.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Brad Lewis, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Newport Cemetery in Shenandoah.
