Eric Franklin Stroupe, 64, a resident of Culpeper, went home to be with the Lord at UVA Transitional Care in Charlottesville on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
He was born in Luray, Virginia, on November 15, 1959, and was the son of Frances Good Stroupe and the late Franklin Paul Stroupe.
Mr. Stroupe attended school in Manassas, Virginia. He worked 17 years at Davis H. Elliott Electrical Contractor and retired in July 2022.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Good Stroupe, and his sister, Donna Terrell of Stanley; his partner of 25 years, Sharon Herndon of Culpeper; and blended family, Christina (Walter) Bradley, and Robert (Ruth) Miller; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews; and his fur-baby, "Shady."
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, at the Graves Chapel Cemetery in Stanley, with Pastor Mark Leatherman officiating.
