Emma Catherine Atkins, 86, of Luray, died on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1934, in Charlottesville and was a daughter of the late Beverly Berry Leedy and Elva Campbell Leedy.
Mrs. Atkins worked at the Luray Textile plant, O'Sullivan and Wrangler. She was a member of the Beth Eden Lutheran Church.
On Jan. 22, 1973, she married Buddy Calvin Atkins, who died on May 16, 2020.
She is survived by a daughter, Elva Breeden of Stanley; four sons, Franklin Bradley of Front Royal, David Bradley of Lee, Maine, Mitchel Beauchamp of North Carolina, and Steven Beauchamp of Madison; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ed Beauchamp; a brother, Beverly Leedy; a sister, Dorothy Leedy; and one grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Brian Hasse, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
