Emily Gertrude Jenkins, 99, of Luray, died on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Skyview Spring Nursing and Rehab.

She was born on Jan. 3, 1921, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Isaac F. Middleton and Carrie Lee Buracker Middleton.

On July 10, 1937, she married Buford Franklin Jenkins Sr., who died on Jan. 30, 1998.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Wood of Luray; two sons, Leonard Jenkins of Luray, and Buford Jenkins Jr. of Clifton Forge; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Jenkins; a son, George Jenkins; two sisters, Elizabeth Crawford and Nettie Snyder; and two brothers, James and Virgil Warren Middleton.

Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
