Elsie Katherine (Taylor) Jenkins

Elsie Katherine Jenkins, 82, of Luray, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025.

She was born on August 6, 1942, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Ivan Dewey Taylor and Ada Cecelia Meadows Taylor.

On February 8, 1958, Elsie married Howard Jenkins Jr., who died on January 21, 2014.

She is survived by four daughters, Karen Ann Cauthorne and husband Robert of Ruther Glen, Susan Darlene Worley of Ruther Glen, Cindy Faye Schneider and husband Dale of Luray, and Brenda Williams and husband Timmy of Luray; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Presgraves, Lillie Ann Taylor and Alberta Cubbage; one brother, Melvin Nelson Taylor; a son-in-law, Bruce Worley; one granddaughter, Stephany Worley; and one great-grandson, Taylor Schneider.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 24, at the funeral home by Pastor Donnie Lam.
