Ellen Victoria (Buracker) Burnette

Ellen Victoria Burnette, 74, of Edinburg, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

She was born on June 23, 1952, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Ozzie Buracker and Blanche Virginia Aleshire Buracker.

Ellen was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert McCall Young and Howard David Burnette Jr.

She is survived by a daughter, Katherine Buracker of Luray; a stepson, Mark Burnette of Edinburg; three brothers, William Buracker and Dwight Buracker, both of Stanley, and Harry Buracker of Luray; a sister, Carolyn Weaver of Luray; and six grandchildren, McKenna, Rayna, Taylen and Damien Buracker, and Brianna and Aaliyah Waters. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Yates; a son, McCall Wayne Young; two brothers, Freeman Buracker and Haskell Buracker; and a sister, Geneva Cave.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, at the Bradley Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, at the Strasburg Assembly of God by Pastor Dottie Holden. Burial will be in the Rileyville Cemetery.
