Edward "Eddie" Watson Strickler, 77, of Luray, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
He was born on September 21, 1947 in Luray and was a son of the late Jesse Edward Strickler and Pauline Virginia Dinges Strickler.
Eddie was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War.
On July 9, 1976, he married Brenda Kay Campbell Strickler, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Eddie is survived by a daughter, Tammy Propes and husband Chris of Stanley; a son, Donald Campbell of Luray; two grandchildren, Samantha Southers and husband Aaron of Sumpter, SC, and Chad Propes and companion Christen Wright of Stanley; and four great-grandchildren, Callum, Emmett, Chloe and Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Lee Strickler.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Robert Griffith. Burial will be in the Calvary Independent Brethren Church in Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 5, at the funeral home.
