Edith (Schwarzer) Ramey

Edith Schwarzer Ramey, 86, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the Life Care Center in New Market.

She was born on January 16, 1940, in the Czech Republic of Germany and was a daughter of the late Franz Schwarzer and Augusta Volkmann Schwarzer.

Edith was a member of the Mount Carmel Regular Baptist Church in Luray.

On March 25, 1960, she married Joseph Wayne Ramey, who died on August 15, 2011.

Edith is survived by three sons, David Ramey and Timothy Ramey, both of Luray, and Michael J. Ramey of California.

A private burial will be held at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
