Dwight Odell “Dickie” Kisling, 77, of Stanley, passed away on Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on Aug. 31, 1944, in Harrisonburg and was a son of the late Calvin W. Kisling and Hallie D. Lam Kisling.
Dickie loved hunting, fishing and recreational activities. He would do anything for anyone and always enjoyed friends and their company. He was a member of the Luray Pentecostal Church.
On Aug. 4, 1965, he married Gladys Jean Hilliard Kisling, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Amy Michelle Kisling of Stanley; five brothers, Carroll, Roger, Douglas, Glenn and Calvin Kisling Jr., all of Elkton; two sisters, Lois Jenkins of Elkton, and Karen Wolfe of Stanley; and two grandchildren, Kaley Hilliard and Karley Hilliard. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin J. Kisling.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, at the Luray Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Daniel D. Herring, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Methodist Church in Elkton.
