Doris "Jeannie" Ramey

Doris Jean “Jeannie” Ramey, 72, of Luray, died on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.

She was born on May 9, 1948, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Carl William Ramey and Mary Elizabeth Good Ramey.

Ms. Ramey worked was a waitress at the Dixie Diner in Luray and had also been employed at Wrangler and Russell Automotive.

She is survived by her fiancé, Lewis “Pete” Fox of Luray; a brother, Kenneth W. Ramey of Luray; and a sister, Carlee E. Turner of Stanley. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Ramey.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 29, at the Morning Star Lutheran Cemetery in Luray by Garland “Bubba” Gochenour.
