Doris Jean (Jobe) Griffith

Doris Jean Griffith, 77, of Luray, died on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021.

She was born on April 27, 1943, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Charles Marion Jobe and Mona Marie Painter Jobe.

Mrs. Griffith had worked at the Luray Textile. She was a member of the Page Valley Baptist Church.

On June 16, 1962, she married Cecil Ray “Sonny” Griffith Jr., who died on Sept. 26, 2019.

She is survived by a son, Gregory Griffith of Luray; a daughter, Tammy Cash of Luray; a brother, Douglas M. Jobe of Shenandoah; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Butler; a sister, JoAnn M. Seal; and a brother, Charles E. Jobe.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Brian Hasse. Burial will be in the Morning Star Lutheran Cemetery in Luray.

Visitation is planned from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, at the funeral home.
