Doris Virginia Cubbage

Doris Virginia Cubbage, 84, formerly of Stanley, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab in Luray.

She was born on February 17, 1940, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late James Berman Cubbage and Lelia Virginia McCoy Cubbage.

Doris was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Stanley.

On May 26, 1956, she married Paul Harold Cubbage, who died on July 26, 2005.

Doris is survived by a sister, Mary Campbell of Stanley; a brother, Carroll Cubbage of South Carolina; a grandson, Jonathan Lawson of Luray; and a great-grandson, Adrian Lawson of Luray. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Suzzette Lawson; and three brothers, Tim James Cubbage Sr., Bernard Cubbage and Kenneth Cubbage.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, at the Bradley Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 28, at the Fellowship Baptist Church by Pastor Donnie Sherfey. Burial will be in the McCoy Family Cemetery in Stanley.
