Dennis Paul McCoy

Dennis Paul McCoy, 68, of Stanley, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Page Memorial Hospital.

He was born on April 17, 1956, in Stanley and was a son of the late Clarence William McCoy Sr. and Agnes Pearl Campbell McCoy.

Dennis had worked for Bowman Apple Products and was a member of the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church in Stanley.

On April 26, 1974, he married Betty Lou Campbell McCoy, who died on January 28, 2021.

Dennis is survived by a daughter, Paula Kling and husband Chris of Luray; three sisters, Mary Jane Campbell and husband Jack, Doris Jean Campbell and husband Randy, and Joyce Marie Tharp, all of Stanley; a brother, Clarence William McCoy Jr. and wife Janet of Stanley; a brother-in-law, Keith Campbell of Stanley; and his beloved dog, Herbie. He was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Faye Campbell; and a brother-in-law, Terry Tharp.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, at the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Jack Campbell, Donnie Burns and Andy Basnight. Burial will be in the McCoy Family Cemetery in Stanley.
