Deborah Anne Drummond, 76, of New Market, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.
She was born on December 27, 1948, in Washington, D.C., and was a daughter of the late Harry Wright Smallwood and Anna Louise Buhl Smallwood.
Deborah was a member of the Fairview Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and served as State Madam President from 2003-2004 and is now in the FOE Hall of Fame.
On August 25, 2007, she married Naylor Russell "Jumbo" Drummond II, who died on January 25, 2019.
Deborah is survived by two sons, Bruce Ritchie and wife Lisa of New Market, and Tony Ritchie and wife Christina of Inwood, WV; a sister, Sharon Wilkins and husband Garnett of Fulks Run; a brother, Jeffrey Smallwood and wife Janet of Broadway; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Berry Smallwood.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, at the Fairview Church of the Brethren by Pastor Rob Nykamp.
