David Alan Short

David Alan Short, age 58, passed away to God’s Heavenly Garden on December 28th, 2022 at his home in Luray, VA. He was born in Luray on August 20th, 1964 and was the son of the late Bernard Short Jr. and survived by his mother Alice Chrisman Short, with his stepfather William Lynwood Cubbage.
He is also survived by a sister, Lisa Short Campbell; brother Timmothy Short  A niece, Madonna Ali and family, and many relatives from the Chrisman family. He is preceded in death with his father, and grandfather, Marvin Chrisman, and brother in law, Jay Campbell. 
David worked as a carpenter most of his life and could repair and or build just about anything. He had a passion for hunting and fishing and looked forward to any outdoor adventures with his Best Friend, Joey Anderson. David loved walking throughout the community and made friends everywhere he went. He had a heart of gold and was loved by all who crossed his path. He will be deeply missed by all. 
Family will receive friends at The Bradley Funeral Home Monday Jan. 2 from 1-2pm with Funeral Services at 2pm. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Luray.
