Dale Lee Rust

Dale Lee Rust, 86, of Luray, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.

He was born on July 30, 1938, in Henry County, IN, and was a son of the late Nathaniel Rust and Susanna Cummins Rust.

Dale was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Lighthouse Gospel Church, the American Legion Post 22 and the VFW Comer-Jones Post 621 in Luray. 

On December 23, 1985, Dale married Florence Genevive Grimm Rust, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Melinda Hiday of Tennessee; a stepdaughter, Connie Demar of Luray; five stepsons, Lester E. Brensinger, Raymond L. Brensinger and Harold R. Brensinger, all of Florida, and Elvis R. Brensinger and Mark S. Brensinger, both of Maryland; a brother, Barry Rust of Florida; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Rust; and a sister, Tina Callaway.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 30, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Evangelist Earl E. Painter. Burial will be in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, at the funeral home.
