Charles Heggie Frye

Charles Heggie Frye, 90, of Luray, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

He was born on April 17, 1934, and was a son of the late Ella Katherine Frye Atkins. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Samuel Jackson Frye and Mittie Rutherford Frye.

Charles had worked as a machinist for Atkins Automotive and on the grounds maintenance crew for Page County Public Schools.

On June 26, 1958, Charles married Marlene E. Kellison Frye, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Charles "Chuck" Frye Jr. and wife Karen of Luray; four brothers, Kenneth Atkins of Luray, Robert Atkins of Warrenton, Ronald Atkins of Washington, VA, and Woodrow "Woody" Atkins of Stanley; a sister, Charlotte Vaughn of Luray; and a grandson, C.H. Frye III and wife Katie. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Catherine Kellison; and two brothers, Marshall Atkins and Ned Atkins.
