Carroll Theodore "Ted" Grandstaff, 91, of Luray, died on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at Whispering Pines.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1930, in Luray and was a son of the late Glendon Grandstaff Sr. and Anna Fox Grandstaff.
Mr. Grandstand worked for Seaboard Plywood and Lumber Company, serving as vice president.
On Sept. 10, 1954, he married Frances Dorsey Grandstaff, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Edie Shaw of Bluemont, Patsy McGraw of Marion, N.C., and Lynn Dubon of Hagerstown, Md.; a son, Darrel Grandstaff of Colonial Beach; two sisters, Charlotte Gochenour of Luray, and Wanda Ricker of Stephens City; two brothers, Lynn Grandstaff of Richmond, and William Grandstaff of Luray; 10 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Grandstaff; three brothers, Waldo, Robert and Glendon Grandstaff Jr.; and a sister, Catherine Hilliard.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray by Pastor Brian Hasse and Pastor Mike Nichols.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Carmel Regular Baptist Church or to Rapidan Baptist Camp in Madison.
