Brownie Elizabeth (Cubbage) Foster

Brownie Elizabeth Foster, 87, of Stanley, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 18, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 9, 1938, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Otis Franklin Cubbage and Rosie Etta McCoy Cubbage.

Brownie was a member of the Riverview Independent Gospel Church in Stanley.

On October 18, 1958, she married Thomas Leroy Foster Sr., who died on July 17, 2024.

Brownie is survived by a daughter, Robin & Steven Foster of Stanley; a son, Timmy & Penny Foster Sr. of Stanley; and four grandchildren, Steven Courtney and wife Anna of Broadway, Amber Shenk and husband Brad of Stanley, Bo Courtney and wife Jemily of Manassas, and T.J. Foster Jr.of Stanley; and two great-grandchildren, Wendy and Micah Courtney. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Billy Cubbage, Clifton Cubbage, Sharman Cubbage, Earl Cubbage; three sisters, Katie Cubbage, Charlotte Dean and, Sally Florence Cubbage.
