Bobby Wayne Blackwell, age 80, of Parrish, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at Lakewood Ranch Hospital.

Born on January 4, 1945, in Bristol, Tennessee, to Edith Hensley and Finis McLeary, Bobby was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

He is also survived by his two half-sisters, Paulette Smith and Marcia Hodges.

A proud Marine, Bobby served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. After his service, he moved to Washington, D.C., where he attended banking school and embarked on a distinguished 40-year career in banking. He retired as Vice President at BB&T and continued to share his expertise as a consultant during his retirement years. He was a member of the Lions Club, Elks Club, Chamber of Commerce and the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
