Arlene (Shenk) Lam

Arlene Lam, 83, of Luray, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

She was born on November 29, 1941, in Page County and was a daughter of the late Marvin Franklin Shenk Sr. and Essie Mary Cave Shenk.

Arlene had worked as a seamstress at Wrangler. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Stanley.

On April 27, 1963, Arlene married Wayne Matthew Lam, who survives. 

In addition to her husband, Arlene is survived by a brother, Page C. Shenk and wife Nancy of Luray; a sister, Brenda Sue Ketchem and husband Steve of Luray; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin F. Shenk Jr., Frederick B. Shenk and Hylus F. Shenk; and a sister, Wanda Yowell.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2, at the Thomas Family Cemetery on Tanner`s Ridge in Stanley by Pastor Donnie Sherfey.
