Obituary


Arbutus Marie Good Turner, 75, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center.
She was born on January 7, 1946, in Page County and was a daughter of the late Carrie Marie Good Walters and stepdaughter of the late Lacy Lee Walters Sr.
Arbutus retired from Wrangler after more than 40 years.
On June 29, 1963, she married Frankie J. Turner, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 58 years are a son, Franklin Steve Turner and wife Pamela Turner of Luray; a grandson, Grant Turner of Richmond, and a granddaughter, Hannah Turner of Virginia Beach, both of whom were her pride and joy; two brothers, Floyd Walters of Luray, and Bruce Walters of Timberville; three sisters, Betty Lou Alger and Peggy Ann Cook, both of Luray, and Marie Inez Vaughan of Chester; and 15 beloved nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her "girls" from Wrangler, with whom she had many great adventures. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lacy Lee Walters Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
