Annie Elizabeth Comer, 84, of Shenandoah, died on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1936, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Edward Knott and Carrie Cubbage Knott.
Mrs. Comer worked at Avtex for 20 years.
On Feb. 18, 1961, she married Leonard “Ben” Comer, who died on Feb. 12, 2021.
She is survived by three sons, Gary, Timmy and Leonard Comer Jr., all of Shenandoah; three brothers, Bill Knott of Elkton, and John and Ralph Knott, both of Luray; four sisters, Florence Lam of Elkton, Linda Sampson and Virginia Comer, both of Stanley, and Wanda Six of Burton, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, Jerry, Walter and Oscar Knott; and a sister, Edith Comer.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 13, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Ellen Martin. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
