Alvin Wayne Lucas

Alvin Wayne Lucas, 69, of Stanley, passed away on... He was born December 4, 1953, in Stanley and was the son of the late Albert Franklin Lucas and Loveina Dallas Lucas. Alvin loved to spend his time outdoors, hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed taking care of his family members, known for cooking Sunday breakfast and his famous warm bread.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Leon F. Lucas of Luray. He is survived by two brothers; Orville Lucas of Stanley, Vincent Lucas (Carolyn) of Stanley, a sister; Wanda Dean (Clyde) of Shenandoah; four nieces; Tabitha Lucas of Stanley, Cassie Courtney (Jeff) of Stanley, Lorrie Beasley of Shenandoah, Valerie Atkins (Jeff) of Luray, a nephew; Matthew Lucas of Stanley, and several great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday Dec. 21, 2022 at Leakes Chapel Church at 2:00 P.M. by Pastor Charles Clinedinst, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Leakes Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bradley Funeral Home.
