Alleta Catherine (Foster) Beahm

Alleta Catherine Beahm, 90, of Luray, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025.

She was born on December 3, 1934, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Elmer Arthur Foster and Geneva Cubbage Foster.

Alleta had worked as a seamstress at Wrangler.

On October 14, 1955, she married Donald Kent Beahm, who died on February 26, 1996.

Alleta is survived by two daughters, Sonya Faye Woodward of Stanley, and Donna Karen Beahm and husband Hollis of Havelock, NC; four grandchildren, Brady Beahm of Havelock, NC, and Kelly Basnight and husband Tony, Rickey Woodward Jr. and Cassidy Woodward, all of Stanley; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Lucas and Marci Basnight. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Edith Elizabeth Richards, Marjorie Alger, Shelley Mayes and Betty Smeltzer; a brother, Robert Lee Foster; and a son-in-law, Rickey Woodward Sr.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, at the Bradley Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, at the funeral home by Pastor Andy Basnight. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
