Obituary
Allen passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2021 at home in Silver Spring, MD. Beloved son of the late Buford G. and Vera M. Painter and the brother of the late sister Barbara (Jerry) Purdy; brother of Maxine (Herbert) Anderson, Judith (Carl) Riedy, Paulette (Harley) Husted and Charles (Trina) Painter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd West, Silver Spring, MD on Thursday, May 20, from 2pm to 4pm. An additional viewing will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, 187 Main Street East, Luray, VA on Friday, May 21 from 6pm to 8pm with a funeral service on Saturday, May 22 at 11am. An interment will follow at the Painter Family Cemetery, Stanley, VA.
