Alice Carol (Sawyers) Freed

Alice Carol Freed, 76, of Luray, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester.

She was born on October 14, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, and was a daughter of the late James Pete Sawyers and Caroline B. Aleshire Sawyers.

Alice is survived by a daughter, Michelle Madrid of Luray; two sons, Gary Freed of Luray, and Duane Freed of Dundalk, MD; two grandchildren, Christopher Smith and Brandon Freed; and three great-grandchildren, Harmony Lynn Saunders, Jordan Michael Smith and Hailey Elizabeth Freed. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack R. and Rodney S. Sawyers; and one grandchild, Holly Carol Smith.

Services are planned for a later date.
