Agnes Buynar Obituary
Agnes June Buynar, 83, of Luray, VA, died on Thursday, April 14, 2022.
June was born on June 5, 1938, in Stanley, VA and was the daughter of the late Emmett and Virginia Alger Brooks.
She was preceded in death by husband, Alfred Buynar, daughter, Brenda Gallegos, granddaughter, Amanda Haggard, great grandson, Cody Haggard.
She is survived by a brother, Emmett H. “Junior” Brooks (Leola) of Stanley, VA; a son, Joey Buynar (Tammy Shortnacy) of AL; a daughter, Dixie Haggard (Bob) of Stanley, VA; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
June worked a combined 40 years at Sharon’s Hair Fair in Luray and Montgomery Wards in GA. She was also employed at Bluebell in Luray, VA.
June enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who always made her laugh and visiting on the porch with close neighbors. She was also an active member of the Luray Moose Lodge.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Bradley’s Funeral Home in Luray, VA by Evangelist Doug Gochenour. A private burial will be held at Graves Chapel in Stanley, VA.
