William "Bill" Staige Modisett

William “Bill” Staige Modisett Age 86 of Luray, VA passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Citizens Care of Frederick in Frederick, MD. He was born on January  6, 1933, in Luray, VA.  Mr. Moddisett was Veteran of the United States Navy.  He graduated from Luray High School in 1951 and from Bridgewater College in 1955 with Bachelors Degree in Chemistry.  He retired from Luray Caverns Corporation after working their for 34 years.  He is survived by Sister- Jean M Shenk of Luray, Va., Brother-John H. Modisett of Belton, Texas and Brother-Wayne V. Modisett of Harrisonburg, Va. He is also survived by 3 Nieces and 3 Nephews.  He was preceded in Death by: Mother-Ruth Catherine (Varner) Modisett and Father-Jesse Thomas Modisett. A Funeral Service will be held Monday July 1, 2019 at 11:00 A.M at Leaksville United Church of Christ with Dr. Eddie Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions can be made to the Charity of your Choice.  Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, VA.
