Wanda Corina Yowell, 86, of Luray, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019.

She was born on March 11, 1933, in Page Co. Virginia and was a daughter of the late

Father Ray Anderson McClure

Essie Cave Shenk and stepdaughter of the late Marvin Franklin Shenk Sr.

Wanda co-owned Burner's Electric in Luray.

On Aug. 28, 1954, she married John Steward Yowell, who died on Sept. 18, 2001.

She is survived by a son, Steward Lee Yowell and wife Judy Yowell of Luray; two sisters, Brenda S. Ketchem and Arlene S. Lam, both of Luray; two brothers, Page C. Shenk of Luray and Sam McClure of West Virginia; a grandson, Christopher Steward Yowell and wife Chasidy Yowell of Luray; and one great-grandson, Tristan Martin Yowell of Luray. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frederick B., Hylus Franklin and Marvin Franklin Shenk Sr.

A graveside service was conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray by Walt Gordon.
