Roger Lee Jobe, 73, of Stanley, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019.
He was born on June 22, 1945, in Stanley and was a son of the late Richard Rogers Jobe and Virginia Lodesta Painter Jobe.
Roger was a member of the Leake's Chapel Church of the Brethren in Stanley.
On Aug. 23, 1974, he married Mary Housden Jobe, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Stephanie Banach and companion Charles Strawderman of Stanley, and Christina Kunu and Husband Tibor Kunu of Luray; two sisters, Mary Virginia Stoneberger and Wanda Housden, both of Stanley; and two granddaughters, Hayley Kunu of Luray, and Alexis Banach of Stanley. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Anne Stoneberger.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, at the Leake's Chapel Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Charles Turner. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, at the church.
