Penny Jean Turner, 56, of Shenandoah, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November, 17, 2019.
She was born on January 28, 1963, in Luray and was the daughter of Doris Cubbage of Shenandoah and the late Garfield Cubbage.
On September 9, 1987, she married Toby Scott Turner, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her mother and her husband are a daughter, Megan Nicole Turner; a granddaughter, Raegan Colby Turner; five brothers, Garfield Cubbage Jr., Terry Cubbage and Brian Cubbage, all of Stanley, and Tony Cubbage and Chris Cubbage, both of Shenandoah; and nine sisters, Cathy Thomas and Lisa Turner, both of Shenandoah, Melody “Sue” Parlett and Jackie Bolyard, both of Stanley, Peggy Lynn Turner, Stephanie Vaughn, Jennifer Cook and Pamela Cubbage, all of Luray, and Tammy Cubbage of Charlottesville.
A funeral service was conducted at the Calvary Independent Brethren Church at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, by the Rev. Jackie Campbell and the Rev. Charles Turner.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday November 19, at the church.
