M. Elaine Moyer, 94, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1924, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Edward Marston and Olga Bell Marston.
Elaine worked as a manager for the Luray Caverns Corporation for 22 years and prior to that at the Luray Textile. She was a member of the Beth Eden Lutheran Church.
On Dec. 23, 1944, she married Virgil Randolph “Doc” Moyer, who died on May 29, 2001.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie E. Marble of Luray; three sisters, Eleanor Gochenour and Nancy Cave, both of Luray, and J. Cleo Weatherman of Rileyville; a brother, Kenneth Marston of Luray; a grandson, Luke Marble of Luray; and a granddaughter, Jessie Marble of Luray. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie “Chicken,” Douglas and Edward “Junior” Marston; and four sisters, M. Belle Griffith, Hilda Burner, Evelyn Woodward and E. Muriel Williams.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 19, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeffrey D. Marble. Burial will be in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at the funeral home.
