Margaret Marie (Reed) Cubbage

Margaret Marie (Reed) Cubbage Age 85 of Stanley, VA passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at Whispering Pines Assisted Living in Luray, VA with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 16, 1934, in Floyd, VA to the late Conley Reed and Laura Reed Buracker.  Margaret was a loving mother, wife and grandmother.  When it came to her family she would always put them first no matter the situation.  Her children and family will always cherish the unconditional love she had for them.  Margaret was a member of Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church in Stanley, VA.  On December 8, 1951 she married Virgil Ralph Cubbage who preceded her in death on September 22, 2007. Margaret is survived by Daughter-Sheila Davis and Husband Junior of Stanley, Va., Son-Ralph Garfield Cubbage and Wife Betty Jean of Stanley, Va., Son-Gregory Lee Cubbage and Wife Janie of Stanley, Va., Daughter-Patsy Showalter of Luray, Va., Son-Terry Ray Cubbage and Wife Opal of Stanley, Va., Brother-Delmas Buracker of Stanley, Va. and Sister-Doris Kirtley of Stanley, Va. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Sister-Mary Kathleen Taylor and Sister-Phyllis Jane Turner.  A Funeral Service will be held at Stanley New Hope Pentecostal on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Randy Miller, Rev. Tony Cubbage and Pastor Ben Jenkins officiating.  Visitation will be at Stanley New Hope Pentecostal on Monday, May 13, 2019  from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will be at Leake's Chapel Cemetery, in Stanley, VA.  Memorials can be made to Stanley Rescue Squad P. O. Box 126 Stanley, VA 22851 and The Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church, Stanley, VA 22851.  Services performed under the direction of The Bradley Funeral Home, Inc. Luray, VA 22835.
