Gloria Foltz Lawson Obituary

Gloria Maxine Foltz-Lawson, 77, of Luray, died on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center.

She was born on May 19, 1942, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Arthur Lewis Sours and Earlene Virginia Fox Sours.

Mrs. Foltz-Lawson had worked at several locations including the poultry plant, Schewels, Page Memorial Hospital and as an office assistant at Leggett's department store. She was a member of the Newport Christian Church.

On June 3, 1961, she married Randolph C. Foltz, who died on Jan. 4, 1987. On April 18, 2015, she married Alton Carroll Lawson, who died on Oct. 24, 2018.

She is survived by two sons, David and Randolph C. “Randy” Foltz Jr., both of Stanley; two stepsons, Nelson and Wayne Lawson, both of Luray; a sister, Edna Irene Sandridge of Luray; two brothers, Richard Lewis and Donald Elwood Sours, both of Luray; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Marie Sours.

A funeral service was conducted on Monday, June 24, at the Mill Creek Bible Church by Pastor John Boyd. Burial was in the Sours Family Cemetery in Luray.
