Flossie Irene (Campbell) Strawderman

Flossie Irene Strawderman, 79, of Stanley, died on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at Inova Fairfax in Falls Church.

She was born on May 24, 1940, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Grover Ashby Campbell and Nelly Irene Alger Campbell.

Mrs. Strawderman had worked as an assembler for the Genie Company in Shenandoah for nine years.

On Feb. 14, 1959, she married Wilmer Eugene Strawderman Sr., who died on Aug. 6, 2008.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Lynn Shenk of Rileyville, and Tammy Sue Harmon of Stanley; a son, Wilmer Eugene Strawderman Jr. of Stanley; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Alice Sours, Ruth Campbell, Hazel Mae Ritchie and Esther Strawderman; and two brothers, Charles Lee and Walter Alfred Campbell.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the Church of the Valley by the Rev. Alfred C. Comer Jr.
