Anna Presgraves Obituary

Anna Lee Woodward Presgraves, treasured wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away on March 12, 2019, surrounded by family at her home in Luray, Virginia.

She was born February 22, 1954, to the late Virgil L. Woodward and Evelyn Marston Woodward.

On June 11, 1988, she married Daniel W. Presgraves, who survives.

She is also survived by five sisters, Dawn Campbell, Jane Miller (husband Roger), Ina Heubach (husband John), Meda Bailey (husband Eddie), and Vicki Gochenour (husband

Gerald). Additionally, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who were “mothered” by her with her love, attention and help.

Anna Lee loved life and she proved it every day with her attitude and actions. Extremely talented and creative, she enjoyed numerous careers, everything from medical stents to master art framing. Before retiring in 2016, she worked at

Avio for 18 years.

Anna Lee graduated from Luray High School with honors and attended Madison College (JMU). However, she loved going to football games at Virginia Tech and became a true Hokie.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 15, at the Rileyville Baptist Church in Rileyville, Virginia.

A celebration of Anna Lee’s life will be held at the Rileyville Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, with Evangelist Doug Gochenour officiating. He will be assisted by Walton Gordon, Methodist Lay Minister. Burial will follow at Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray. A celebratory meal will follow at the Luray Fire Department.

The family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and visits during Anna Lee’s courageous battle. Coming from a big loving family, we know Anna Lee had a “special welcoming committee” when she went to be with the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Edith Rebekah Lodge or the Luray Volunteer Fire Department.
